Forum colleagues:
Many of us have various issues with our Zeds, some niggling and some more serious (and costly).
Some time ago I gave my local service department and parts guy details of the Forum. This has proved useful to them (and me) when trying to diagnose more common problems quickly and find details of parts. For example when my rear springs broke out of warranty the service guy rang BMW and told them of the number reported on the Forum - result repaired f.o.c. Now I'm not saying this type of thing will happen all the time but at least it gives them and you a chance to sort things out quickly and amicably.
Yes and some of you will say, 'We shouldn't have to do this,' and 'BMW dealers should give a better service etc etc.' But I'm a great believer in making life as easy for me as possible. This has and does.
Why not give it a go - you have nothing to loose and much to gain.
