TC's 3.0i E85

Nice car! Almost identical to mine only i've got 17" daisy's. Probably doing more or less the same mods as I'm currently waiting on plates, stubby, ipod connection thingy and a new gear knob. I'm sure I've ordered something else but can't remember what.

Fortunately my lights aren't fogged but I'm interested in getting the indicators clear. Seems like a big scary job though (i'm not good with sharp implements) and can't work out why people don't just buy and fit clears halogens/xenons dependent on what they already have. The new car learning curve.

First 'proper' update, although since I last posted the car has had a full detail and front badge replaced as it was rough. I'll take some proper pics once I have 5 minutes, have barely had chance to drive the bloody thing!

HUGE thanks to Mark @ BMAutosport, top guy.

Really happy, wasn't sure if I'd regret a) the colour and b) going 18" not 19" but look great IMO!

Next on the list, clear side repeaters and sort the headlights out as they are harbouring a foreign species I think they're that mucky inside... If anyone has some nice headlights for sale please do PM me!!!

Little drive to Stanhope over the moors today, car performed great only thing that lets it down IMO is the brakes... New pads soon me thinks. A little pic:

:)

I'd also recommend braided hoses and some new fluid (I used dot 5.1) but still have stock pads and discs, no BB conversion. The pedal has so much more feel to it after the braided lines were fitted. Much more feedback so I'm happy to recommend. I used HEL lines.

No probs, if you're due a brake fluid change its def worth the extra £60, like I say, the pedal is much stiffer, much more feel.

I bought from here:

Think I'll be doing the clear brake and ZHP upgrade soon too, looks good.

That's a great drive - did it earlier in the year, as my family were originally from Hunstanworth. Awesome scenery.... I wasn't in the zed though :(

Clear lights look great, I want side repeaters and rears too but £££, some on eBay ATM. ZHP makes changes much more positive as well IMO.

It's an awesome part of the world over there, like 15 mins drive from us and I hardly ever go up there. Need to change that!!!

Looks great! Good work nice to see the cars being brought back to life!

Clear lights would really transform it tho!

Nice looking car

Cleaning them up really has made it look like it should

It would, but it would transform my bank balance too unfortunately Tom! I'd love OEM clear lights, the angel eyes you can get just seem to cheapen the car :|

AUX input also sorted today, DIY jobby thanks to the guide on here :) Only problem been that I drilled about 8 holes before getting it right size location, so my panel underneath the centre console now resembles a colander :(

Will get a new one sorted when I can be arsed, you can't see it at least!

Going to run the 3.5mm cable from the input down to the passenger net pocket I think, iPod can sit in there :)

Edit: added photo

I have aftermarket angel eyes and think they look great
Anything rather than the ugly OEM front indicators :fuelfire:

I know what you mean andy6409, I just can't decide. And currently funds won't allow anything more than wet+dry and polish!

Black grills fitted - tiny change, massive difference IMO...

Ignore the rancid Lexus thing in the background, and the fact the cars sat in it's own bathwater, I was in a rush before it rained!

Black grilles look superb mate, I think I may go for the more standard ones, rather than my home brew ones.

You've done a better job of your headlights than I did, need to re-do.
