TC Kicking in under load

So... I've had this for a while, but it just became very prevalent yesterday when I was trying to accelerate going up a hill. I had sport on, 3rd gear, pedal on the floor and around 3500rpm traction light would kick in and would let me accelerate very very slowly. And the back end was no where near breaking. I'd shift to 4th, it would accelerate to about 3300-3500rpm and then do the same thing. It would stay on for a good 5 seconds and just continue flashing until I let off the pedal.

On flat ground it would go fine (here is where it was intermittent), but going up the hill, multiple times I'd go back to 3rd and it would do it again, and again, and again, but as soon as the road was flat... no light would come on and the car would go as normal.

I'm in the process of trying to find a dealer to replace my Vanos O-rings, I'm hoping its just the engine realizing something is wrong under that much load.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

Bumpy/holey road? I've had it a few times when the road surface has minor holes and the TC kicks in and I get stuck with no power side by side of a corsa lol

Though come to think I have been on a flat road up hill, gave it a boot and the TC kicked in for no reason. I think its a bit over sensitive at the wrong times, like it never kicks in when I'm trying to get it side ways...

Semi-hilly road, however I was able to replicate the problem over and over and over. If it was in 3rd and nailed it at ~3.5k TC kicked in and stayed on...

If you have any wheel-spin, traction control will kick in. If you want to really have fun, take off the TC, put on the sport and away you go. You'll chew up tires, though. :)

Check the inside edges of your rear wheels, you might not have much tread there and be in the need of some fresh rubber.
