You know it not massively heavier than the 350z......around 300kgs more. Still 250kgs shy of 2 tonnes as well.

MPG in the teens I was expecting! I didn't realise it would get quite so low around town but it does makes sense.

Ive just had a double take at the official figures for BMW and perhaps I was a little harsh.
My Compact runs at around 25 when I go under a mile (official Urban figure 29.1)
and the zed runs around 18 for the same journey (Official Urban figure 22.2)
My old 1988 635Csi Auto did about 14 on the same journey (official figure 18)

so they are 80-85% of the Urban figures whereas the merc is 50%. I dont know if thats just Mercs for you (very different to the official stats) or perhaps you may have an issue.. (sorry not trying to put a downer on a new car)
 
Not at all Bluestreak - thats why she's going in for a little health check tomorrow.

The way I see it even if has a MAJOR problem then its still a reasonable price for the car - i'd quite happily have paid 7k for it but in staying that I'd rather have the £1300 in my sky rocket than repairing a car!

350 is averaging 21.9 since last reset many moons ago.
