Tax Disc Holder

This might seem like a slightly odd question but.......
I'm fancying an aluminium tax disc holder for the Zed but I'm not sure how well it would attach with the curvature of the screen.
I'm guessing it would need to be mounted on a fairly flat section which, at the edge, the screen isn't!
Any advice gratefully received.

I use on in the bottom left hand corner. The small stickers that come with the holder can be doubled up as required to cope with the curvature - two singles at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions and one doubled up at the 12 oclock position. Has budged for 5 years.

Will be fine mine has been on the car over 2 years go for the richbrook one with the twist off back much easier when it comes the changing the disk.

Thanks for the replies.
I had been looking at the Richbrook twist back one.
Reassuring to know it will fit ok.

I got the custom made alu one with BMW on the back and my initials engraved on it (coincidently the same as my number plate :D ). I have to fiddle with 6 little screws though which is a pain.

Would have preferred the twist one.

I got the Pistonheads black one (also available in silver), but have not gotten around to fitting it.

I had an alloy one and it was forever falling off, i went through loads of sicky gum pad things and in the end got fed up with it. I now have a cheapo plastic one that works 100% better for me :)

Had one for 2 years engraved BMW. Finally removed it last week as 1) it falls off 2) it looks chav 3) fits in just the 2 points it touches and replaced it with a cheap Halfords self adhesive black thet works way better.

Yuo can have mine for the cost of postage

Another vote for a richbrook twist one from me, been on a year and a half with no issues, as said above you just have to stack the clear bits of plastic right.

I like to keep it clean, simple and cheap:

From an old thread...

I bought one from here. It was the Richbrook twist style with the Z4 logo and my registration underneath. Looks really good.

They now allow you to do whatever custom design you want.

I gave up with a metal one for the same reasons as cj10jeeper - the bloody thing wouldn't stay attached. I know use a self-adhesive vinyl one (you wet the back and it sticks to the screen). Mine's a fake Alpina one from one of those printing companies on ebay, paid around £3 for it!

Still using the one fitted by stealer 6 years ago no rattles or squeaks doesn't fall off, no twisting or unscrewing of cover plates, once a year just pull the old disc out and simply insert the new takes about 30 secs. :D

Also the pictures of the ones posted within the thread would look great on a Saxo or Corsa or any other Max Power mobile IMO. :poke:

Not for me . Saying that I do have something similar on the R1.

Same as your post here also.

That stupid bit of paper we have to put in the windows annoys me!! So out of date. Internet when you like where you like, phones that do everything a computer can do and now 3D tv at home and still we have to peel away a piece of paper from a perforated backing to put in our cars! When they check your car is taxed these days they do it using number plate recognition so why bother with the piece of paper?

I have a metal one on mine... which was a gift/ secret santa a few years back.. annoyingly held in place by 10-12 allen screws... but the bugger has lasted all this time without fallng off to justify replacing it!
