Just a little rant i thought i would share, part of the ownership experience i suppose. Within the space of 2 months, mid December to mid feb, i have had/still require the following:-

5 days before xmas - MOT Time ! (Passed with flying colours again)
Jan - Week 1 - Wheel alignment
Jan - Week 4 - Road Tax !
Jan - Week 4 - Insurance renewal time !
Mid Feb - Oil service required!

is it all worth it?........................................damm right !

i have a spread sheet, since i bought mine it as cost me a small fortune, monthly payment, tax, insurance etc

damm right its worth it

i'm havin a mid life crisis and enjoying it

Had a similar experience just before Christmas.

Road Tax, Insurance, MOT, BMW Warranty - unfortunately mine was all due the same week :headbang:

i started adding things up whilst at work the other day but then decided against it, it wasnt as bad as i thought but you cant put a price on driving enjoyment. Plus compared to the Audi TT bag of shi* i owned in which money was literally poured down the drain, at least i can see where the majority of money has gone !

Everything is up for mine this month.... so

First MOT approx £30
Insurance approx £800
Road tax £245
Extendend warranty approx £500
Oil Change (as its been 12 months since it was last chnaged now!) £80

And i have only driven it once this year! :x

Aye, it's a bit of a bugger when it all comes at once.

My road tax is June, insurance is October and MOT is January. So I thought it was all nicely spread around.

But, having just had the first MOT (£54), I'll need to buy some new tyres (£ lots) and extend the warranty (£690) before the end of the month

Can't think of anything better to waste my money on at the moment so

Yep tell me about it, road tax and Insurance (renewl came through at £474 fully comp Admiral multi car £311, thankyou very much) both due in December plus the wifes road tax and her insurance in February.

Slightly off topic had to get my previous insurors to send a confirmation of no claims bonus, got the letter yesterday informing me I had 9 years, strangely last years Insurance certificate from the same company tells me I had 10 years and I've had another claim free year since then, and they wonder why we think they are right there with politicians and estate agents.

Same here
Road Tax, Insurance, MOT, BMW Warranty adn two rear tyres all in december. Not to mention the mrs birthday and Christmas!

Exactly the same for me in mid November which is what buying a car through AUC does for you. Still all paid now, and hopefully nothing before the next oil service in 6k miles.

Used to have this issue on the mx5, tax, mot, any servicing for the mot, insurance all used to crop up in the same month :O

Now I picked the zed up christmas eve, that must have ben a mistake doing it in the most expensive month of the year!

but at least the insurance if offset to the old mx5 date :D

I traded mine in just before being hit with big bills, it was due....

BMW Warranty
Inspection 1
Brake Fluid
2 Tyres
Tax

That time of year again

Road Tax sorted just before Xmas
Insurance sorted this week :D
MOT 9am tommorrow (fingers crossed ) PASSSED :D :D

Then need to spend some money on a few cosmetic tidy ups this year +get my new roll bars wrapped or sprayed wheels refurbed the list goes on but as the OP said its worth it :D :D

I feel your pain Easty...

For me in December - 1 x road tax, 1 x inspection 1 service, 1 x cracked rear spring, 1 x cracked alloy, 1 x punctured runflat, 1 x MOT = 4 x CSL replicas + 4 x Falken FK452, 1 x new spring and 1 x very empty bank account! But yes it is worth it.
