Well the Zed goes in on Thursday for a bit of a tart up.....having it's sorry looking 108's given a nice new coat. Anthracite grey centres and silver outers.

Will post up some piccies when she's got on her new shoes....

Bu**er it!!!!!!! The guy who was doing my wheels cancelled at the last minute!!!! :-x

I guess the money is going to spend a bit longer in my pocket....

Cheers for that Ash. But at £200 I'm prepared to wait. Have seen some of this guys work and it's top notch. BTW, one caliper nearly finished, just waiting for Red Rubber grease to arrive so I can start assembly.....

Nay,Nay, Mr. Wilks...(Sorry, couldn't help myself)....he knows they be split rims and I want 2 colours. Apparently he has contracts with some local garages and they wanted 3 sets done by Saturday.....what they forgot to tell him was 2 of the sets were split rims....Sooo, he's put mine off until next Wednesday.

Watch this space will post up some pics when done...

Yep will watch with interest  is it paint & lacquer make over or fully stripped back & start from scratch to all surfaces ?

Wheels split, Acid dipped, media blasted, wet powder primer, powder coat and wet lacquer to finish...At least that's what he said I think.

Keep us posted on the results , it sounds like a quality job from someone who knows what they are doing
Its also a lot of work for £200 :? it takes around an hour to split 4 wheels ( if all goes well ) & similar to put them back together ( more care needed ) so if a top result then he may become inundated

Think he's trying to get a reputation in town at the mo. He has some special deals on. Will do 4 standard wheels for £150. Did a mate of mines the other day,
4 wheels, one of which was badly dinged on the inside and wouldn't hold pressure, couple of the others had the standard curb scars, all for £180. The wheels look like brand new...

Looks a decent job for the money , 2nd snap looks as though the outer rim needed rubbing down around the valve area  or maybe just the pic :?

There's a fair bit of dust and some tyre soap about. He was working late last night. Didn't pick the Z up until just after 8 o'clock. Cars getting a wash n polish today. So better pics in the daylight up later.

Well here's some more pics.

Cheers Mr.Wilks. I'm well chuffed with 'em. Just need to get centre caps sorted and the blue calipers, new discs and brake lines sorted/fitted. Then I'll be all ready for tucking it away for winter... :o

They were done by Steve Frear @ Frear's Wheels in Scunthorpe. Proper job by top bloke. You could get in touch with Mr.Wilks on here his work looks top notch
