Taking The Plunge.....

Deal done! Order placed this afternoon with Simon at Dick Lovett in Bristol.

Got a similar deal to the one listed above, but including Seal and Protect and a tank of fuel. All in all over 10% off plus free sat nav and I am a happy camper. It will arrive early May or maybe even the end of April.

Got to say that Simon was good to deal with, it wasn't like he had just swallowed a sales manual and was trying all the tricks at once unlike my experience at Cheltenham. I think he is the manager there so had the authority to do a deal and we just had a sensible discussion until we arrived at a point we were happy with.

Hopefully this may help anyone who is looking to do a deal.....

I got my E89.. 2.3 Sdrive.. sport pack, 19" wheels, pure White design package.. For £28.500 which I recon was about 20% discount.... But it was pre reg.. With 13 miles on it....

I was pretty happy with that..!

Wow, not surprised that sounds like a great deal!

Starting to think I should have pushed harder! Although I do know most dealers I contacted wouldn't go to the price I got it for so that is something!

Ok so just been told that my car has now left the factory and just needs to be shipped.

Does anyone know how long that typically takes?

I feel like a big kid!! :D

Wow that was quick. Not sure, maybe a couple of weeks to get it shipped over and PDI'd etc before you drive it away?

Heard from the dealer who have a date of 19th April to be with them.

I could have it in time for a nice sunny Easter holiday..... and I have taken a week off! Superb!

I've just ordered a 35i M Sport, and got 11.2% off including the Sat Nav, which I think is bloody brilliant.

Hey djtex - it's probably too late but have you looked at some of the amzing deals on nearly new 35iS's? They and mostly ex BMW staffers (1k to 4k miles - look for the YF reg prefix) and loaded, I mean L O A D E D! I spec'd mine up in the configuator and stopped when I got to £53k - suffice to say I didn't pay anything like this. Understand if nearly new is not your thing but worth a look even if to leverage yourself a better deal

Hey mate, thanks for the thought and idea, very kind of you to think of me. I did look at 35is, but as it's only available with DCT which I hated, it was a no brainer to go for 35i instead. I have a provisional delivery date of May 16th for mine, but they reckon it could be sooner, here's hoping :)

Now is clearly the time to do a deal if anyone is thinking about it.

My car is now in the UK only 2 weeks after placing the order. I am expecting to pick it up on Saturday which means 3 weeks from order to delivery.

That can mean only one thing..... there is no demand and BMW must be desperate for the orders.

Probably would have fought a bit harder if I had known that at the outset.

Might depend on spec!!
Mine isn't being built until end of June, which is the next available build slot for a custom order 35is.

I am looking to order a new one soon to replace my 35i, as mines got 17 k miles and as mine was a demo, I want a new one. Does anyone know if BMW do factory collection like Mercedes do?

Sounds like a great deal bushy! I am looking to do a similar thing. I am from Bristol and was going to avoid Dick Lovett as I didn't think they were competitive enough on their deals. I will have to consider them when I compare dealers against each other. May be in touch with you nearer the time for some advice about Dick Lovett.
