Taken off...

Sometimes it's not what you say but the way you say it...I agree that people should be able to question a price that is high (or low ?) in their opinion, and I think that most sellers take it on board like any advice - it's free, do with it what you will. I am also pretty sure such advice has helped people sell their cars on here.

What I don't personally like is when someone jumps on a thread and batters the seller without a hint of politeness, and without any positive commentary to go with their ridicule.

Unless of course it's a one post seller making no effort and linking to eBay, then they deserve everything that comes their way. Especially if it's a crashed, fire damaged, mis-represented ///M coupe

Firstly, I was only joking, I don't intend to charge for ads...

Secondly, funny how you reduced my hypothetical £20 to "£10 for 12 months"... last of the big spenders, eh? ;)

Whatever...

Like i said..................Inline with other forums...........

Maybe just maybe, ppl who wish to sell a car have to pay a small forum contribution, and if they don't, delete their thread

Fiver a time?

We've been around this one before. If you charge people there's a possible liability to the forum (and given it's international, that's a minefield best avoided) and putting a minimum post count on might mean forum members miss a nice car.

I think on the forum, it's seller beware. If you offer a wrong'un, or present something as something it's not, you'll get mauled.

They could just donate the money to me, I'll play nice :|

We can't control the honesty of people that own Z4s and therefore there will be people that push the envelope to bursting. We can protect prospective members from predatory behaviour in the for sale threads. It wouldn't be a welcoming community if dubious adverts went unchallenged. I would rather spend time chatting to people of good character and anyone that co-operated in the overcharging of an innocent wouldn't add to the ambience.

I say well done to the forum-ites that pointed out the inconsistencies in this advert.
