I think my car sat for a while before I bought it. the drivers side tail light was replaced for the mot. The passenger side has some moss growing in it. Is it possible to take it out and flush it to clean the inside or would it be a waste of time?

You can try..remove the unit..take the bulbs out and try with deionised water and maybe a bit of meths..dry thoroughly..

If it’s got green stuff internally it’s got a water leak..probably will fail anyway..

Check seals ..

Lots of electronics in tail light.
If water been in does light work?
Yes. It works fine. I think I might take the lense off , clean it and reseal it.
