Tail light keeps going.

Passenger side tail light seems to keep failing and triggering the warning light in dash. Too be honest it's been dark and tipping down recently and I've been whipping new bulbs in every couple of days. Not even sure the filament was gone in the last one. I did notice the carrier looked very slightly blackened near the terminals. Is this a carrier problem or fuse or some such. Thanks. It's a 2005 2.0.

It's cos it's a 2.0l

Check the connector plug in the boot - if you've had a leak in the headlights and water has got in, then the connector strips can corrode giving an intermittent fail. You can take the plastic surround off and clean up the connectors on the plug.
