switching z4 engine ?

Gold dust ..... I'm telling ya....

I start my pre-season training in 3 weeks - for years Ive been following the tyre/suspension/brake/power upgrade path to reduce my laps times....
but its like .... I can see clearly now the rain has stopped ....the clouds have parted and the truth can be seen, less is more ..... or in this case less is less ............

Cant wait to get to the track and get those times down - Im thinking a "group sell" instead of a "group buy" could be in order here .....

CJ.... you must have a pile of uneccessary upgrady bits you could add to this ........ oh yes..... :D :D :D

*sigh* I still mentioned brakes as a borderline required upgrade for the track - before getting a power boost.

But fine, if you think I mean 'brakes aren't important, go out on a flippin race track with weak brakes and you'll go super fast' then feel free.

I better go tell BBR who supercharge MX-5s that they're making deathtraps by not upgrading the braking system. I'll also go phone up all of the tuning companies and tell them the cars they remap crash within 5 miles due to brake fade. I'll also phone up all car manufacturers that their cars are downright dangerous because all cars must have ceramic brakes since if you apply the brakes repeatedly from high speed on a race track the brakes fade and therefore are completely unsuitable for public road use.

Damn - I'm so upset I wasted money on upgrading my brakes. As for Jaguar it's ludicrous that they put massive brakes on my twin turbo 'S' XF. Could have just used tiny brakes from the baby 2.2 and saved unspring weight

Anyone want my E46 330 brakes now I've been enlightened?

Can I have them for my E46 320d... Whoops, I'd already forgotten that they're utterly excess to requirements

Yep, don't need brakes at all!

Just so we're clear:

I'm saying:
- A 55bhp (20% increase in overall bhp) increase with a supercharger doesn't require a brake upgrade if the vehicle's weight is barely changed.
- It doesn't require it, with practical evidence being numerous remaps and supercharger upgrades carried out with similar % boosts that don't involve brake upgrades and people aren't crashing
- Track use of a car usually requires brake upgrades regardless of power mods

I'm not saying:
- Larger increases in bhp won't require better brakes
- Brakes are unnecessary
- Brake upgrades are pointless

You're saying
- Any and all power upgrades require brake upgrades regardless of the use of the car
- Evidence of this is fade when on a track

And my response
- You're offensive in rather than explaining your rationale and where I'm wrong, you choose to be sarcastic and elitist and deliberately warp what I say and take it to extremes.
