Switching RHD Headlights for LHD

Heading down through France/Spain next week and wondering if there is a way to switch the Bi-Xenon headlights for driving on the other side, or if you need to use the stickers. Anyone got any ideas? :driving:

You can switch it but it isn't simple to do and not necessary either since the headlights have a flat beam pattern so you can use them without any stickers or mods.

Believe it is similar to the E85. Wheel off and arch trim, open up the rear of the headlight, Xenon out and there will be a lever inside.

However it's probably only going to be an issue if tested. Will be pretty flat beam pattern.

A couple of things about that video....
It's not a UK car, neither is it a Japanese spec car, look at the steering wheel, it's on the left, both UK and Japan are RHD and their domestic market supplied vehicles are correct for their own countries.

No way to change them other than replacing with LHD.
No levers.
Just go as they are.

I do not know if BMW changed the headlamp design one year to the next but I doubt there will be any major differences between a 2009 to 2011 car and in my car they are exactly as what is shown in this video:

It clearly shows the lever and I got to it in the same way he describes, my car is a 2009 UK RHD with it's original headlights. However for the OP there is absolutely no need to adjust the lights or use any beam pattern stickers.

2009-2012 inc was same headlight in UK..2013 had the plucked eyebrow version with LED DRLs..
