So, after about 3 years, I have decided to go for a coupe and say goodbye to the roadster.

here it is:

That's one nice upgrade

Thanks - can't wait to get my hands on it...

Of course I am already plotting how to gut the useless integrated navigation system in favour of something similar to what I did for the Z4. After initial inspection it should actually be a simpler job.

Is that a DB9? Not up on my Aston models, but it looks a lot larger than the Vantage.

Yes, it's an early DB9... only 33k miles from new.

Sorry dude, I've seen amv8 4.7s with those wheels, so just thought it was a v8.
v12, wowser, bet that sounds nice, definitely an engine configuration on my carbucketlist

You need to add a side profile pic, the db9 is very slender compared to amv8 :)

No worries at all.... Honestly, even parked side-by-side at dealers there are more similarities than differences between the Vantage and DB9.

The sound is just awesome. Definitely enough reason to buy one just on its own.

How's this?

What year is that, just aft of the b pillar looks quite muscly from what I remembered - like the vanquish, I think that's why I got it mixed up with amv8 from the front 3/4 view

What I can tell you is that the company I work for supplied the carbon fibre prop/torque tube assembly. Most of the Aluminium interior parts like the centre console and seatbelt d loops were also machined by us to.

Hence the reliability issues

Lovely looking car, and it does sound amazing. Point of warning that you have to have it attached to the battery tender at all time as without it, it will be dead in a week. Worth investing in a spare ctek. The one supplied with the car is a re-badged ctek, and the only difference is the connector at the end.

Beautiful, classy and a V12 - what more do you want? Fabulous. :o :D

If you can afford the servicing and afford to drive it then brilliant

(I'd just be drooling all over it and then having to keep cleaning it  )

Congratulations

Thanks for the comments all, and the tip about the CTEK battery conditioner. I actually have a jump pack that claims to be able to crank a 6.0 petrol engine... so I may be finding out if it lives up to claims!

It's a 2005 model, so before any of the slight facelifts... it does have the sport pack alloys, which I think are better than the normal ones too. I would have preferred a dark grey exterior colour, but this one was particularly well spec'ed and in particularly good condition.
