Switched ignition live connection question...?

Hi there,

I'm after a quick sanity check. I'm trying to work out the best places to tap into for a few ignition lives... So far, having read here http://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=38888 I have identified the following possibilities:

F2 - unused
F28 - cruise control
F9,32 - SMG control
F27 - fold in mirrors

I don't have cruise control, SMG or fold in mirrors... therefore my assumption is I can use these circuits without causing other issues / fault codes?

Surely using a relay will isolate any equipment being powered and you can add resistance if needed to balance the system.

Thanks Nelly, but that only adds to the question - it doesn't really provide an answer..... Of course there are lots of different ways I could do it, but my question is simple - can I use those ignition lives with impunity as they are otherwise not being used in my car?

I was kind of hoping someone might have tried this before, to save me half a day figuring out how to overcome any issues I might face.

I got a piggy back blade fuse into my cd changer to power my road angel.

I got a piggy back blade fuse into my cd changer socket (maybe 20 something) to power my road angel.

Had it like this for years no issues.
