Now you all know I'm into my detailing...and just looking on the Swissvax site....the is a 200 ML pot @£750, and a limited edition pack at £2100......I like a good wax, but really?? If you had a £200K car, would you use this kind of product?

The detailer who did my car used a lot of Swissvax products on my car. He also used 'Divine' wax and the car looked fabulous but was it so much better than other much cheaper waxes? Not sure really - i doubt it but its the proportion and quality of the Carnuba that dictates the price. I subsequently bought their QD which was very good but really pricey.

I am though going to try the Blau Weiss wax which they claim is specially formulated for BMW paint.

As above. Its akin to splashing out
£`0000s on a music system whereby you would need specialist sound monitoring equipment to prove that it sounds better than a Bose/Sonos unit as the average human ear would not tell the difference. Dont see the point (apart from pose kudos)

Mind you it pales into insignificance when you can pay £24,000 for 200ml :o :o

^^ Think thats expensive. Try Zymol solaris at £44000.

Nic. If your into it that much an money is there, go for it. Ive found that middle line waxes like ezyme and concourse are as good as you get imo. 99% of the finish is in the prep and I could quite happily show works carried out that will prove this. All very well having a pot of wax weighing in at a few grand but all the gear and no idea will result in a car still looking shabby.

Personally I couldn't afford this. Ever. However if I had a £200k car then I'd make sure I had enough money to pay the very best person I could find to detail it, on the assumption that their choice of product would be the best for my needs. But then whilst I am getting sucked into the edges of detailing, I'd be terrified by the prospect of buggering up the look of the Lamborghini I will have one day in my dreams :P

I'm into it, but not that much!! White is a very forgiving colour when it comes to swirls....am happy with what I do with it......

Im looking forward to the last car :)

Just to add my detailer always used Swissvax best of show as a final layer on my black coupe. Always looked nice and wet :D

If you want something in a higher price region that gives a nice overall aesthetic along with decent durability and a brand worthy of bragging why not try Zymol glasur?

If Swissvax is one that you are definitely after then maybe consider shield as that is fortified with ptfe. Best of show is a lovely wax but the key is in the name 'Best of show' Durability is its weakest limb. Ive heard on good authority that out of all there waxes, Mystery is the one to have.

I use best of show on my interlagos blue z4mr.It gives a very wet look shine and i only use it in the spring/summer,i use collinte in the winter.
