Swiftcover = p**s-takers

I've just taken great delight in telling Swiftcover where to swiftly stick their Swift policy.

When I bought my Zed last Summer, Swift were the best price on confused.com weighing in at just about £100 a month. When the renewal came through in July this year, this somehow went up to £145 a month, even with no claims made.

Now we're about to move house a mere 2 miles up the road and to a better area, Swift then decided they were going to take £187 a month. Erm, no you're not! So a quick search on Uswitch came up with Admiral offering fully comp for £985 for the year if I paid up front. Given that comes to about £100 less per month than Swift were ready to steal off me, it's a no brainer. Something tells me that any change you make they think they can just bump up the price.

Just wanted to share that :D

im with admiral multicar mate, £850 a yr 3.0ltr full comp so what your paying is a good fee! im going with competition next tho. my mate pays much less for his coupe.

Every effing year we go through this sh1t with insurance companies. Every year I call to cancel, we do the "discount dance" and I get a better price. The usual excuse is "you were on an introductory discount" and my response is "well I'll go get an introductory discount elsewhere then"

The first insurance company to stop being a bunch of grabbing crooks and start being sensible about renewals, second cars on the same no claims discount (they haven't worked out I can only drive one at a time) and generally respecting their customers is going to seriously clean up.

Admiral certainly seems to be high on the recommended list both here and on the Alpina Register. I shall be trying them out at renewal time.

all insurers will try and rip you off, its the nature of insurers, they are bent

+1

Shocking, I had my 911 insured comprehensive with a company for 8 yrs, limited mileage and agreed value, had a body restoration done over winter so told them it wouldn't be on the road, my windscreen had a stone chip in it, before I took it off the road, spoke to an ' advisor' who said put the claim in after the restoration, they wouldn't pay out because I was only covered for fire and theft as i advised them the 911 was off the road during that time and couldn't back date the claim :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Admiral again, been the cheapest for the past 2-3 years. I never seem to get close.

I have a multi car policy with 3 cars on it
