I've had a similar thing from the RAC. Bloody useless. Also, because i'd made a claim (for a windscreen repair, not even a replacement) they wouldn't refund me on the last couple of months of the policy. They had an interesting reaction (Oh s**t, we hadn't thought of that) when i told them that as they wouldn't refund, i'd leave the policy open for the final two months and that as per their own T&Cs they were jointly liable for any claim that might arise in the meantime.
