Swapping old reg plate lights for LED lights - old socket broken

Tring to swap out my reg plate lights for LED ones. Swapped one out fine and dandy. The other one which wasn't working was a bit of a mess, seems like one of previous owners had a bit of fun with superglue, combined with a bit of corrosion i think the existing socket is now useless as pic shows.

Still works when connections touch but I think I need a replacement socket to hold the new plug, can anyone advise the correct part/number or a decent workaround please?

Thanks.

Oh aye, that looks a bit messy.
Any chance a breaker could get you the socket with a decent length of the wire on, then splice it in using a decent heatshrink covered connector?

There might be a repair kit, Sopers have always been useful with stuff like that when I asked though you might need a special crimp die.

I would suggest fitting OE LED units then the wire with pin terminals are withdrawn and that might be salvageable. Or ask Sopers for the OE part.

The OE LED units are much nicer, single LED rather than the brightness of 1000 suns that ebay pump out.

You can mess about trying to splice in an OE connector for your non-OE led lights, or you can just cut the connectors off and use a couple of 2 way Wago connectors, quick, simple and cheap.
