Switched to 18 inch CSL reps from 108's recently. I must admit it has taken me a few days as these are definitely a 'grower', not quite as aggressive and purposeful as the 108's. The open pattern of the 108 gives makes the rear wheels look a lot wider than the CSL. Ideally I would have gone 19 inch as I personally think the rear concave balances out the aesthetics.
Anyway reason for the post is I'm not sure these are heavier but Vredestein'sĀ have been swapped from the 108's to the CSL's at an identical 33/36 tyre pressure.
On first drive I immediately noticed quite a difference. The steering is noticeable heavier comparedĀ to the 108's and might just be my imagination but feels a bit less zippy and responsive, the counter to that is for the horrendous roads in my area the CSL's take the lumps and bumps easier - they seem to soak the road conditions up a bit better.
Anyone else found this?
