Swap my alloys for your 108's

Would the z4m alloys be cheaper to refurb than 108's just had a quote for £528 for 108's back to oem with diamond cutting.

I would expect them to be a lot cheaper - no Diamond cutting, no splitting, just strip and powder coat. mr wilks has a good handle on 224 refurb prices, but I am sure you'd be talking about approx £70 per wheel.

Personally I really don't like the 108s, in fact one of my 'must haves' when buying this car was that it didn't have them! I think they look rubbish, rounded spokes on alloys are a big thumbs down for me. And having been on BMW forums for nearly a decade I've seen how badly split rims fair over the years, they need refurbing every couple of years and it costs a fortune to maintain them.

Now im really lost about what to get ... there is a set of m wheels on here for £270 without tyres and in need of a refurb. Would that be a good price for a mint set saying it cost £570 in total ?

Not so sure about the diamond cutting but I believe a company called "Fawheels" exchange a refurbed set for £396: http://www.alloywheelexchange.com/exchange?page=shop.browse&category_id=22

Out of interest whereabouts are you and apologies in advance if you've already answered this question.

What aftermarket alloys would you suggest ? Not a big replica fan but at the same time I dont want to break the bank.

If you dont want reps there is always VMR.

They have CSL style wheels (but i forget the model maybe 7B) and 710's which is what i have.

Hi, im selling my ZED and did have MV2's originally as it's a SI SPORT, I have a set of 108's on the car now, the wheels were refurbed about 6 months ago, tread on the fronts is 3-4mm but the rears will need replacing.

Let me know Mike
