I know theres a Marketplace for this type of post, but Im not sure it gets as much interest\views as the main discussion section, so hopefully I wont get shouted at by the Admins for posting here !

I've removed my factory 19inch 799m alloys, in black, from my car for some aftermarket alloys. Im looking to get some 18s to use as winters, wondered if there was anyone wanting to swap their 18inch 798m wheels for my 19s and some cash my way? Easy way for anyone to get a upgrade and keep their car stock.

Mine come with BMW centre caps and original TPMS sensors, so its a simple wheel swap. Tyres on mine are Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy, 7mm tread on fronts, 6mm on rears.

Let me know what you have?

Thanks
Kam

Good luck with the switch….
Not relevant to the post , just interested as to what after market ones you put on and what the look like

Hi Dave, I went for the Japan Racing JR28 with the silver machined face. Ive always been a fan of black wheels over silver, but this is only my 2nd black car, and the wheels kinda disappeared against the black of the car. So went for a contrast. Was also considering a matt bronze finish, but thought I would go with silver and can always get these repainted later down the line. Pics below.

They look good, I can see those in gunmetal or ferric grey

The winter set up for car with 19" is a square 255/40 R18, I run Continental Allseason Contacts (three peaks and M+S) and have been very happy with them, being an all season tyre they suit our climate better than a full winter. The cross climate 2 by Michelin is also very good.

I can say they do look good in the flesh.

Met you at Zfest the other month..

I have the Frozen Orange M40i...

I wish you well on your search for the 18",s :driving: :driving:

Cheers Dave ! And thanks for the message with regards the brake discs (you guys are gonna leave me skint !!)

Hi Kam, totally agree, I felt that the black wheels just disappeared on my black car so I had mine done in shadow chrome. The other issues with the OEM diamond cut alloys is the small recess that runs along the edge of the spokes to the rim, curb them and you begin to loose that recess when you get them repaired (the diamond cutting takes more of the surface) and then the wheel doesn't look right. I've just changed my floating centre caps to the anniversary ones also :D

Hi Kammy. I found original 19" rubber very squirrelly on damp roads, changed onto 18" winter tyres and improved feel massively, ran all through winter then put new Hankooks on 19" rims for the summer. Different beast again - so much more grip. Cant say what the life of the tyres will be but looking good after 10k this summer. You could do worse than buy 18" and keep your 19" especially for when you sell.
