Unusually they are holding it again this year, as its normally only every two years.

Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd July over Swansea Bay. A great event to attend in a convertible if you're close enough to get there. Put it in your diaries !

We have a free coastal airshow up here at Sunderland but the flightline keeps moving further and further back (due to the tide sometimes?) and it's certainly a lot busier than your photo (lovely by the way) shows :lol:



Would be great to be able to park up and watch from the Zed but it's all heavy parking restrictions, and Park and Ride if you want to get anywhere near the front. :(

There will be a out 10,000 on the beach and Prom, but Swansea has a massive tidal range and I think the photo was taken well down the beach, infront of the crowds . ( not my photo unfortunately - I pinched it )

However, Swansea bay is backed by a few large hills, so there are plenty of spots to park up a few Zeds and watch it roofless - or head out of the side window for Coupe owners !

PS. Not poaching anyone from the National Meet but, just a reminder for the few South Wales boys who arent attending the National that will pop out for the afternoon

I know but it's the national meet. If it was in Newquay or Aberdeen I'd try and attend. After all, it would be nice if the whole nation of zeds was there. Thou it does seem that they all will be for zedfest. I may fly back to the uk just to be at zedfest.

Yes, but just because I cant dedicate a whole weekend to going on the National Meet doesn't mean I'm not allowed to pop out for an afternoon during the weekend Simo. I'm booked in for Zedfest and I think I do a fair bit for the Forum, like organise the Annual English/Welsh Meet, (which you weren't on) a North Wales Weekend back in April, regular regional meets and together with Taz, was the initiative behind Zedward.

You can only drive half way up, the. Its a pricate lane to the dog kennels (Centre Barcs !)
The best place for a meet would be outside Castellamere (Itallian restaurant) SA3 4JT. There's a big cliff top, public car park overlooking the bay.

Let me know if your over there on Sat.
