I have sent you all a PM and will be offering a TomTom map next week for those who want it.

srhutch - can you send me the map too? Know I'm not attending but installed an itn converter on my mac and want to test it out. Cheers!

Just thought, do I really need to have the route guide or can I just follow everyone else? I'm pretty good at keeping up  I assume you can't put the route onto an E85 nav, well, unless you go through each point manually and do it that way...

I'll load the route onto my tom tom too just in case we do get seriously lost but I'd prefer to keep it in the glove box.

You don't need the route as such, normally front man, middle and tail will have it.

The only "issue" I see is Haywards Heath as it has the traffic lights.

Yeah it looks like rain now...hmmm the excuses are piling up...rain, early sunday morning, possibly a big session at the pub Saturday night,...

By the way, could I also get a copy of the route Srhutch? -- I have a garmin and not sure how to load an electronic version of the route, but a paper copy would do me fine.

Is there anywhere to pull up and regroup after Haywards Heath ?

Anyone coming up from London and fancy eating my dust? Coming from Richmond, M25, M23......

Also any E89's coming or am I the odd one out? :driving:

Hi Nick

i'll be there tomorrow in an E89 and so will petach, so you are not alone

Reference routes on the BMW routes option; I have gone through the process of converting srhutch's tom tom route to the BMW routes software for E89 NAV, so if anyone wants a copy let me know.

Had a few issues, had to get the tom tom routes and convert them into google maps first, (used TYRE) once I had done this I transferred them manually into BMW Routes software (based on google maps) pity the BMW routes don't allow you an import route option. Main problem I had was that BMW routes allowed me to save the entire route, but then refused to transfer to car with an error stating that one or many? of the route points / waypoints was outside the map :?
error was
Route transfer to your vehicle is not possible. The coordinates for one or more destinations could not be clearly determined. It is possible that the destinations are located outside the navigable map zone. Please correct your input data. Enter place, street and house number for all your destinations.

This just doesn't make sense to me as I zoomed in on all waypoints and confirmed they are on a road at the right place etc; so either there is a bug or there is a navigable are with two postcodes clashing for example- so in the end I spent hours delving deeper as I wanted to identify if this was a bug or something else, moving the waypoints slighty etc etc had no joy and in the end was successful once I split the entire route into two sections (1) start to beachy head & (2) beachy head to end,

I have yet to identify why this has happened and will talk to BMW software team about it next week

Just dropping you all a PM with a extended route as I believe we may have some extra time on our hands, the original route is as is just an extra 25 miles tacked on the end.

It all depend on the weather how long we stop at Beachy Head for and so on.

Few other points to remember

1. Don't forget to put your clocks back tonight otherwise you will be an hour early.

2. Make sure you fill your tank up before you arrive and World of Water.

3. Try not to get stuck behind ace :poke:

If you don't get a PM drop me one back and I will resend.

Steve
