I have sent you all a PM and will be offering a TomTom map next week for those who want it.

Gannet's comes with the option of a waterproof housing and ace's offers the most direct route so he can keep up. :D
replied

Hopefully I won't be needin' the waterproof housing...

Out of interest what's lowest spec tomtom you can use itn files with? I gather it doesn't work with the iPhone App which is super annoying :(

It was on the news today that the roadworks will be finished by friday now.

I have a TomTom One v1 and they work fine on that - well it does when people don't deviate from the given route while avoiding er floods

Cheers might pick one up in comet as I have a load of vouchers after being burgled. Again very annoying, but at least they didn't take the keys to the M!!

I'm on Garmin 370 so may have to just keep up with the group :) Start time and address would be great though.

Hi there, I am a realtively new member living in Orpington, Kent. Can we join in on this drive and if so, where does it start from? Many thanks, Nigel :driving:

Page 1 has the time, page 3 the location :)

9 start, World of Water Crawley location (near Turners Hill).

Guys, I'm gutted...

After getting all excited about my first Zed trip, I've just got back from a visit to Wales with a dislocated and broken shoulder. Was only in the country a bloody hour and busy telling one of my 5 year old god children to be careful on the slippy rock down at New Quay bay.

One second later I'm on my left side in 4 inches of seawater and my arm not where its supposed to be. Spent the night in Carmathen ER - general anesthetic and big wrench back into place (including the shard of bone). Now have arm in an over engineered sling for the next three weeks followed by some serious therapy to get it moving (and changing gear!) again.

My poor girlfriend though - she drove the Zed all the way home after never driving it before. Around the M25 I think she started getting a taste for some speed although repeatedly ignored my suggestion of the Sport button and DSC release.

Anyway, that's a very long winded way of saying I'll not be able to make this now. Take lots of pics and have fun for me yeah?!

inkey$, you have my sympathies, it's just over 12 months since I caused a major cartilage tear in my knee whilst paint balling.

There will be another run in the spring, hopefully you will be fully recovered by then.

Every time I warn my missus of an impending risk I end up falling foul of it myself. Like the time I warned her of some slippy rocks in a lake in Croatia, followed 30 seconds later with me in the lake on my back. No broken bones for me,.. just a dented arse and pride. Good luck with the recouperation.

She didn't laugh. I think I'd describe her facial expression as a mixture of incredulous and ashamed to be with me.
