I have started to plot a route using the points mentioned and many roads I have used over the years.

Will look into the Red Lion for lunch, at least we can blame PVR if it's no good. :evil:

I'm definitely interested, but I change hospitals at the start of October so I won't know if I'll be on call on the 31st for a few weeks yet.
The Beachy Head road is great (when it's not packed with traffic and pedestrians), and having played in the tunnels in the Alps recently, the above all sounds brilliant
