Hi Guys,

Looks like i'll be needing new F&R shocks. Thinking either about just replacing the shocks or going with coilovers. Just out of curiousity, does anyone know whether the z4 (03 2.5) has the same suspension part (shocks) as any other bmw models? Will make it a bit easier for me to find some over here as there aren't much z4 parts.

Here's a link to the BMW Parts website - just look up the respective parts for each vehicle and compare the 11 digit part number. If the same for both vehicles then the same and hence interchangeable part.

If you are going to change the shocks then i.m.o I would go for coilovers.
 
Sorry for jacking this thread but my rear suspension is really hard. Only really obvious when going over speed bumps. Is this normal for Z4s, or should I get it looked at?

get coilovers only if you are:

1. rich, you have excess moolah
2. your roads are all highway smooth roads
3. you like to play with your car's height
4. if you track often
