Suspension to firm

Hi all

I want to improve the ride of my Z4m Coupe, I’ve installed a strut brace which has helped settle the front end down a lot, but the ride is a bit too stiff and has to much vertical movement at the rear on bumpy roads, it also could be less edgy.

I will do a few track days, but my main concern is fast road driving, I’m looking for a more compliant ride than stock; I don’t want to have to change parts every 12 months or hear any noise from the new suspension while driving either

I’ve read KW3’s are quite good, but have no idea of price or what to really expect, I could get the suspension changed, spend a fortune and still not be happy.

Has anyone tried to improve the ride comfort of the Z4M coupe and been successful?

The coupe is 2x as stiff as the roadster so I think it is always going to be a fairly rough ride on our 'stupendous' British roads I'm afraid. As for the car being edgy at the rear, that is a characteristic I have also niticed but I think its just the style of the car

Toplad, try reducing tyre pressures to 29 when cold. It helps the rear to dig in and allows the tyres to soak up a little more of the bumps. If you do track it, drop them a little more or better still, monitor the pressures when hot and keep them lowish. Cheaper than any suspension mods!
