Suspension spring replacement

well all ive just snapped a rear spring and wondered if there were any other model springs i can fit ie e36 or e46 springs or is it just z4 springs to fit

I'd also be interested to know, just as out of interest.

One of my rear springs recently went, but luckily I've managed to source a repalcement.

Next job is to replace over the weekend - Yippee! :(
 
Not sure about other model springs fitting, but I know one forum member just had a spring replaced for £133 fitted.
 
your best bet is to buy the spring that matches the one that broke. Go to RealOEM.com and find the specific part number for that spring. Best not to run a different model's spring unless it has the identical part number, spring tension, length, etc.

Or you can upgrade and go aftermarket, springs/shocks or coilovers.
