Suspension Spring Replacement

Hi
I took advantage of the fine weather today and went out in the Z M Roadster not on the best of roads and it got me thinking about whether the suspension springs on the front may benefit from a change.

I know the suspension on these cars is stif one of the criticism s when new ,also the car is sitting true and no knocking etc the rears have been replaced ( as per usual ) with these cars .

The car has just done 63,800 miles and had an inspection 2 last year with no issues .

Just thought to see any comments out there and whether anybody changed the fronts with any noticeble beniefits .

To put in perspective some of the roads I was on were crap and in a very poor state of repair.

Any thoughts - feedback

After replacing rear springs, left then right 6 months later I finally got round to fitting the set of Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs that ! bought from another forum member. It sits a smidge lower, is very slightly more compliant but you still get those big bangs on horrid potholes. I'm just hoping they'll last longer than the OEM ones. I've replaced a few and it seems 30k is about it for the rears.
 
Don't fit new single springs left or right, you'll upset the balance of the car. Replace all front or rear or better yet, a complete set. :thumbsup:
 
Changing the dampers will have more affect on ride quality than changing springs (assuming like for like and staying with OE specs). After 60k miles the originals will be shot.
 
I fitted Eibachs front and rear to my M coupe last year,bearing in mind it’s only on 36k I found it a lot more compliant and surefooted over the stock springs.
Still on original dampers as still in good nick.
