So due to the lump of iron up front on the mc/mr should we have all bought something else with better weight distribution ...begs the question what ? 350/370z gts - impossible to find , ttrs too expensive and characterless , tvr t 350 - no abs/dsc and have to rebuild speed six at cost , er what else ?

Couldn't agree less I'm afraid.... The m3 has the same Setup and was famed as one of the best ///ms around. It's just about fine tuning it.

If you're making the comment about the cast iron lump in BMW's on reflection of the other thread about stripping weight from the car: I wonder why BMW put a cardboard boot floor in the M3 CSL rather than a lead weight? :headbang:

Anyone put the Z4MC on the scales? For sure its a great car OEM - I was really impressed how well it performed and how friendly it was on a very wet track day. Sure it has its foibles and character but as Beedub says it just needs a little fine tuning.

-although Beedub your is a completely diffeent animal is it not  ? Do you still feel the car has the same character and balance as to before moding it?

I certainly would not want to buy anything else even if I was gobsmaked to see an entirely flat bottom on a entry level 2.7 Cayman up on a bridge in the garage 2 weeks ago.

just a heads up after busting my balls to get the suspension set up correctly ive decided to sell the car and have removed the suspension and its up for sale
