Great thanks ..fitting the se springs for better ride over rough roads and to stop the car dragging slightly on my drive so b4 sounds the way to go ... as for the top mounts and makes to avoid...was thinking Melye or Febi ?
Thanks
I have fitted Meyle rear top mounts to wifey's car and they knock badly. About to replace with Lemforder.
I previously used Febi on the front but they came without the camber pins, or a hole to fit them.
So now I use Lemforder front and rear.
Also bear in mind that if you go back to SE springs they'll raise your ride height and technically you should fit the non-sport bump stops too, which are a little longer. Just pointing that out as if you plug your reg into some of the online sites it'll probably default to the Sport ones.
Your old ones are likely to be pretty goosed by now anyway.
For the bump stops I normally use Febi Bilstein. Don't bother to get the ones with the dust covers for the front as they are plastic. Far better to clean and re-use the original rubber ones assuming they're not split.
You will also need new knuckle bolts for the front lower strut fittings. These are available all over Ebay, search for Part Number 31306779487
By the way, I've always gone for standard Sachs dampers and have no complaints with them at all. Bit cheaper than Bilsteins.
