Hi all

Have Bilsten (and shocks generally) jumped in price this year?

I am well overdue a full new set of my coupe and after reading everything on here decided b4 or b6 (with preference for b6). I remember thinking prices last year weren't bad so I should get it done but never got round to it. Prices now seem quite high and quite different across sites. Have they lept?

What should I be paying for either, supply only?

Happy to delay if prospect of prices dropping.
 
Believe so, coupled with shortages and supply issues. We were surprised to see the B6's listed at almost the same cost as Koni Sport at Demon Tweeks, needless to say a set of Koni's our preferred brand are en route to New Zealand. Win! :D
 
The B8s on Demon Tweeks are £1.34 more expensive than i paid in January so they don't seem to have gone up much.
but i think B6s used to be a fair bit cheaper than the B8s and they are almost the same price now
 
Thanks guys. You confirmed my suspicions, the b6 have lept and these were my primary interest
Will keep monitoring for now.

B12 kit too harsh for me. No point on the b road commute. Cheers
 
Sorry, I thought b4 were the OEM equivalents, b6 and b8 are the same damping, with the b6 standard spring height and b8 lowered and the b12 is the kit of b8 and Eibach proline springs

B4 are OEM for the non-motorsport suspended cars. B6 and B8 for those with motorsport suspensions. Some owners particularly with the 3.0si E86 find the b4, coupled with Eibach pro spring set give an excellent ride, and not quite as stiff or harsh as the motorsport setups.
