Just had a service this morning and was told I need new coils for the back of my Z. The place I got it serviced said it will be about £200 to get the new coils and replace them but is not sure as mine is the Alpina version so may differ.

For that price,
Would it be better to get a full set of aftermarket coils as I am unsure if I can get a better set for the price of the BMW ones. Plus I will save money on getting them fitted as my mate can do it for me.

Do you have the sport suspension ?
Do you want to lower it more?
It depends what you want to do ...
KW variant 1 is around £500 . I have Variant 3 and am very happy with it after 3 years (£1000).

I'm unsure what differs with the 3.0 and the 3.4 set up when it comes to the suspension, it must be different as I don't think it could go any lower as it can't really handle speed bumps as it is with the standard set up.

Here's the Alpina specific parts catalogue so you can check out your suspension parts.
