Suspension and handling help ?

So as I have posted before, my suspension needs updating! I know I have a knackered FRS which needs replacing. Following advice and direction from here! I have two options:

1) Bilstein shocks to go with my Eibach pro kit, but this is costly and almost as much as option 2!

2) Sell the Eibach pro and get Spax RSX coilovers kit as this is avaiabke for £619 at present.

The plan will be to order the above and at the same time do top monts, lolly pops etc.

I would appreciate any help boys and girls, I had the spacers fitted recently and although my thoughts were great at the start, the car now feels crap at 60mph and above. I know the shock won't be helping but at 60mph the car steering wheel now shacks left to right and feels terrible.

I need a wish list to make my baby great again :thumbsup:
 
If yours is street and occasional track car on street tires go with the Bilstein B8 damper kit. Great combo with pro-kit springs. If you need to ask, you probably aren't a suspension expert and don't want a car on adjustable coilovers which tend to get stuk after a while without proper maintenance. It's easier to mess up your cars handling by wrong setups than getting it better than a good spring and damper combination which the manufacturer has already found an optimum for.
 
It really depends why do you need upgrading the suspension? You sure need to do it for trackdays. For for a daily driving I wouldn't spend money on it. Not worth it.
 
Will never use the car on track, it's just for looks and stance! I'm happy with the Eibach pro kit, but many have advised to upgrade shock and not go with standard?

I can replace the fronts for approx £200 using Sachs or Bilstein shocks from euro car parts and spend the rest on re-bushing and top mounts etc???.
 
The B8 do make the car a lot tighter when running the eibach springs, it rolls, dives and squats much less than on Original shocks. Replace the topmounts while you are at it, Sachs sells these topmounts for about 23 euro's a piece (less than half of what you pay at the dealer). Also the Meyle lower control arm bushings for the front arms are very worthwhile at just under 75 euros for a set. You will really feel the difference on the road and even when you do decide to track it, or visit the nurburgring, the car just feels planted :-)
