That is a hell of a lot of car for that money, as said that is prob CAT D but would be easy to check! Also for that money would be worth paying BMW an hours labour to check the car over they should be able to spot a dodge bodge job or a shed a mile off, if the seller has no objection to it being checked by BM then its prob a good car anwyay if they get funny then its prob a shed. If all comes back fine then a hell of a bargain!
 
its probably a scam,my friend nearly got caught out by one of these.they ask you to transfer the funds through some oddball company then you never hear from them again and end with no car or money.i would do alot of checks into where the car is as they will prob say that its abroad or not accessable right now and make sure you can collect it as you pay for it,not through a transfer.it could be a true bargain tho :driving:

Nobody sells that below market on a clean, straight car. Cat D, scam, or 'oops must thave listed the price wrong'
 
No way, cab you even resell a cat c? You would think the seller would be honest in the ad would make him more trustworthy otherwise people will just be sus by the price anyway and be less likely to believe his story about quality repairs genuine parts ect
 
yep, but it will be noted on the v5 that it has had a VIC test.... a lot of people think its illegal to put Cat A and B back on the road, but sadly its actually not... its just industry guidance, which most insurers ensure that their salvage agents follow, but i have seen a few back on the road.... and i have seen some real horror stories when it comes to Cat C repairs....

If its an expensive car, it may be worth repairing a C, but as you said, i'd want full photographic history and reciepts.... and a full engineers report... i saw a Pug 206 last year that had been Cat C repaired.... the owner test drove it in London, didn;t get over 20mph and "his mate" said it was a good car... turns out at anything over 30 it would vibrate like a b;stard, i had a look and got an engineer involved... turns out the o/s suspension was 1" further back than the n/s... the chassis legs ( crumple zones) had been hacked off and flattened and stuck back on.... I had it cubed..... :thumbsdown: would never buy a car again without getting it checked now i know what i know !!!
 
Been on sale for a month or so, came on when I was looking. I suspect there is a reason for the price...

It is advertised at less than a trader would pay to buy outright, were it straight...
 
AVOID. Fake M badge. Angry face.

Oh and as it's a Cat C, that's another reason.
