Surrey Meet - Sun 25th November

Photos are brilliant. Thanks chaps. And Stuart, you're a good photographer, got some good portrait shots. Will have to get tips on photography.

Sorry to PVR for letting him down and not turning up on time with my iPod. I got the Newlands Corner and managed to meet up with the last ones standing, lovely to meet you guys and see familiar faces - I think Bluestreak I recognised from West London meet, uh crawl!! Man, I really miss my Zed, seeing the Zed Roadsters and Coupes pull into the car park. Big envy here :o

And sorry Steve, didn't get a chance to see you either. It would have been nice to see your 1 series. I see it has quite boy racer wheels :P

Taz! Sorry I missed you. You certainly were brave getting down here for the meet. I hope you had a grand time. And was weather alright going home? There was severe fog up to Leicester on Saturday morning.

Thanks for sharing your meet shots - equally nice to see a few forumites faces - now just need some bright spark to put names to the faces I don't recognise!

So is this the reason there's a white 1 series lurking in a few of the shots? Apparantly she once owned a Z4, but I'm still not totally convinced :P[/quote]

Tehe. Hi Guiseley!! How are ya! Ah, well good your memory hasn't gone. Nah I wouldn't get a 1 series :P , but I do like it that Steve's car is white.

His car is not white, I don't believe that. I have seen that car a few times now and it has always been between grey or patchy black.

I think he secretly wished he had bought another black car. :D

Oakandacorns, sorry to have missed you as well. The route from the last stop to the end point took me within 20 minutes of my house and would have added hours to my drive if I had gone to there as well.

No excuse for not coming to the start point, I told you, you only needed undies to sit on the heated seats so no need to have been fully dressed :D

Like we do with the xdrivers Christmas dinner, we should do something with the Z4-forum lot as well as I always find that during meets the "talk" time is just too limited. We have had a couple of dinners with groups at the Westerham Indian place which might suite the Kent members as well.

Lol = patchy black / grey makes sense :P
Oh dear, PVR, I had my undies on and kinda ready!! Believe me, I spent ages picking them and had made sure that they were ironed too!

Christmas dinner sounds good. I'm up for that, Westerham looks on M25, so that's good for me. If slightly closer like Surrey, I would like even more!

So.. what undies should I pick for next drive?? :poke:

how big were your undies if your were going to iron them :poke:

Bridget Jones springs to minds

Meal idea is a good one PVR, that chat is half of the fun

PS no point cleaning the 1er to often in this weather, shows the boss I use it

Only reason we used Westerham for our previous Z dinners was that anyone coming from London or North would easily find it and would be back on the motorway in minutes and it has a big car park.

Who on earth irons undies

Saturday 4am going over the tops i could only see 15 foot in front of me, and the poodles were soooooooscarey, every so often i hit a really big 1 and the car almost came to a sudden stop

the drive back was ok but i had to be on full guard, my eyes were going, i had to pull in and take a break around Birmingham

handbrake issue????????????

PVR took us up an unmade road with a very steep junction at the top. Ruby had trouble pulling out and every time she tried ended up rolling back towards my car. It got very close and I was getting a bit concerned. Luckily she took my advise and gave it some revs. A little wheel spin but nothing to match your exiting the cafe.

Taz can you teach me how to do that?

Er hello! What about me? I followed you a lot on the Cumbria meet (or tried to  ) and all the way to those Services near the M1.

I was worrying about that all the way home tonight - thinking oh no what about Ruby - too late to edit the original post now then

Anyway - what about the names for the rest of them?

P.s. It was the A1 darling :p

Bloody hell Pete - don't you like dogs - Pitbulls are even more scary !!!!

I was lost with this for a while ...

I had a very bizare image in my head of a black coupe breaking sharply on the North West Moors trying to avoid this years Crufts champion

Great photos and thanks for organising such a great day out. Nice seeing new and old faces!!! Bring on the next meet in the New Year! :)

Also up for the meal idea - made that remark to Stuart and PVR... The driving is great, but it'd be cool just to get to know people more face to face
