Surrey Meet at Denbies, Dorking - Sunday 6 February 2022

I know we have generally been going to the Black Swan in Ockham lately, but the field isn't ideal this time of year.

Denbies Vineyard has an unofficial car meet on the first Sunday of the month that a few of us have been to, plus there is more hardstanding and an indoor cafe.

There were 40 or 50 cars there (mostly post 2000 like our cars) when I went in November with several Porsches and Aston Martins, some Ferraris and the inevitable MX5s! A few older cars though including a 1969 Ferrari 330GT, a DB5, DB6 and a couple of Triumph Heralds. Plus two Ferrari FFs and a Lamborghini Murcielago.

Anyway subject to the weather I'm planning to go on 6 February.

It seems to start at 09.30 but I was wondering if there was anywhere we could meet up beforehand to arrive en masse. Rykas at Box Hill doesn't seem like a good option given the number of bikes that go there on Sundays, but would Dorking Station car park work? Or does anyone more local have any suggestions?

Not sure about where to meet before for a joint arrival… the dorking sports centre is just down the road and next to a BP otherwise the station works fine.

Tesco superstore is 15 minutes away from Denbies, could meet there for 9am.... Oxshott Rd, Leatherhead KT22 0EF

I believe there is a cafe there….but like most car meets I imagine it’ll be mega busy. I may find a cafe nearby and grab a breakfast before meeting at Tesco.

Large hound would love to be in the Zed with the roof down. Sadly for her that will forever remain her dream! And I'm not bringing the Discovery to accommodate her either!

Yes there is a cafe at Denbies but it can get busy as they often have indoor events like Craft Fairs.

I just looked at the weather forecast and it's showing showers from 06.00 to 15.00 so I may make my mind up in the morning!

I've now negotiated for Mrs R to walk large hound, so I have to go now whatever the weather! I'll be going straight to Denbies as Tesco is too far on the wrong side for me.

Rain just makes cars shiny right?
I’m deffo going down. Prob straight to denbies also as Tesco means driving the wrong way for me I think

Persuaded my mate to pop down with me - he doesn’t have a zed tho booo hisss but will be bringing his 570GT and may have persuaded a couple of his other McLaren mates!

Weather was a bit off putting but good to meet Rickrob and Sladester100 there. Took a few pictures, a bit like Porsche day there today. Cafe was pretty empty which was a bonus.
