Surrey Car Meet at the Black Swan, Ockham - Sunday 13 April 2025

The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we have often tagged along to next Sunday. I'll confess I haven't been for a while due to winter weather and the ongoing chaos at J10 of the M25. But the weather forecast looks promising for Sunday and I'm feeling more motivated!

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). Catering starts at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee and entry is free. There is usually a huge variety of cars to look at, and drool over!

We've typically met up at Ockham Bites at 08.00 for a cuppa and bacon butty to avoid the catering queues at the Black Swan and that is my plan for Sunday. Ockham Bites is on the left just after you turn into Old Lane from the A3 slip-road - postcode is KT11 1NA.

The only potential issue seems to be that the A3 will be closed between the junction with the A245 at Cobham and J10 of the M25, but there is a back road route to Ockham off the A245.

As this is an outdoor venue weather plays a big part so I'll be watching the forecast, but the field should be dry.

Hopefully we can have a Z4 presence again.

I was planning on going, but it is not definite (not least due to weather).

It looks like it should be fine to get there via the M25 or A3 northbound... and an alternative route for anyone coming south on the A3 and having to get off one junction early looks easy too.

Hope to see you at 8am!

Are you going no matter what? Or is it dependent on anything?

I have every intention of getting to Ockham Bites at 8am - if anyone else is there - or 8.30 black swan if not.

If you want to know for sure that I haven't woken up hungover or overslept then call me (pm for number) or check here at 7-7.30am sunday where I will post if I remember!

I'm a definite for 8 at Ockham bites as I haven't been for a while and the weather is forecast to be dry.
