North West Surrey
We've been meeting up at this for years now, but several things put me off for a while - A3/M25 junction improvements, Black Swan refurbishment, Old Lane and Ockham Bites closure spring to mind!
Anyway I went last month and all was back to normal so subject to weather I plan to go to this one. And it really is weather dependent as parking is in the car park and overflow field.
For anyone who hasn't been before there is usually a really eclectic mix of cars, and some bikes, ranging from 30s Bentleys to road-going Ultima race cars with things like air-cooled VWs, Fast Fords, some Americana, E-Types and Porsches in between. There are photos if you search previous threads but it's the variety that I find fascinating - and it's free!
Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). Catering starts at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee.
We've typically met up at Ockham Bites at 08.00 and that is my plan this time. It means we can avoid the catering queues at the Black Swan and can arrive en masse. Ockham Bites is on the left just after you turn into Old Lane from the A3 slip-road - postcode is KT11 1NA.
