Surrey Car Meet at the Black Swan, Ockham - Sunday 8 October 2023

The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we often tag along to next Sunday so I thought I would mention it for anyone interested.

As this is an outdoor venue weather plays a big part but the current forecast is looking good so there should be a wide variety of cars to look at. And the field should be dry too!

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). Catering starts at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee and entry is free.

But the ongoing work on the M25/A3 junction is causing chaos so if you plan to arrive after 9 it might be worth looking for a route that will get you there from the other end of Old Lane or from Ockham Lane, and definitely best to leave that way if you don't enjoy a queue!

If anyone else is interested I'd be up for meeting at Ockham Bites at 08.00 for a cuppa and bacon butty to avoid the catering queues at the Black Swan. Ockham Bites is on the left just after you turn into Old Lane from the A3 slip-road - postcode is KT11 1NA.

Popped along to Ockham on Sunday, could not get in initially as was full which was a first. Popped along to the cafe for a bacon baguette(They really are the best) and saw around 50 Audi TT's parked up on a club trip. Returned to the Black Swan and managed to get in. Good to see you there Mr Tidy. Took a few pics

What a cracking mix of cars out!

Bit gutted I'm no longer living just down the road, I'd meant to get up there a bit more often, particularly now my wee man is nearly 3, he absolutely loves cars!!
