The Black Swan pub will be having their monthly classic car and bike meet that we have often tagged along to next Sunday. I went in June but gave July a miss as the M25 was closed between J10 and 11, and there is still the ongoing roadworks at the M25/A3 junction. I won't be going next Sunday because I'm booked in for another event at Bicester, but thought others on here might be interested.

Anyway full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25). Catering starts at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee and entry is free!

We've typically met up at Ockham Bites at 08.00 for a cuppa and bacon butty to avoid the catering queues at the Black Swan. Ockham Bites is on the left just after you turn into Old Lane from the A3 slip-road - postcode is KT11 1NA.

Traffic shouldn't be an issue at that time of day, just potentially when leaving. If you plan to arrive after 9 it might be worth looking for a route that will get you there from the other end of Old Lane or from Ockham Lane, and definitely best to leave that way if you don't enjoy a queue!

As this is an outdoor venue weather plays a big part but the current forecast is looking good so there should be a wide variety of cars to look at. And the field should be dry too!

I am planning on attending and am up for meeting at 8am at Ockham bites if anyone else is. I will confirm nearer the time (weather and family commitments might stop me), but if the weather's good I will do my best to be there and almost certainly will be.

Be nice to meet some faces - so worry I wandered off last time, I assumed I'd bump into you all again soon enough, but the meet is bigger than it looks!

Current weather forecast seems to be warm and humid with some (but lowish) chance of rain). I will go so long as I am fairly confident that I won't get too wet or stuck in the field.

Plan 8am meet at Ockham Bites KT11 1NA
8.30-ish set off for 5 minute drive to Black Swan KT11 1NG

List of definite attendees.

Confirm nearer the time, weather dependent

Anyone? Weather looking good... barring disasters I will be at the Black Swan at 8.30 or so... if anyone else puts their name down before 7am Sunday and I do my best to be at Ockham Bites at 8am... and I might well be there at 8am anyway.

Not exactly highlight of the social calendar, but some nice cars normally.

Great to meet up with Darren, Neil & James again.
Unusual to get four coupes in a line up at this meet!

Looks like a good Z4 presence.

I had car overload from going to Bicester on Saturday.

But we've had 4 Coupes before - why don't E85 owners turn up too often?

It was a good show with more zeds than I’ve seen for quite some time. Apologies for not being able to make much conversation as marshaling is challenging in its own way.
Incidentally I was at Bicester on Saturday also.

Good to see you guys... the Z8 was lovely... can't argue with the Ultima, and as a child of the 70s I'm a sucker for the purple sparkle beach buggy that was parked next to it. The 289 AC Cobra as well....

I am a sucker for all the odd kit cars... the Sylva was cool. And the Kei car... can't remember what it was but pretty cool... and I learnt they can be tuned to best part of 200 bhp on a 650 cc 3 cylinder engine. And what exactly is this Healy?
