North West Surrey
Since there is now be a charge for parking at Newlands Corner I suggested we might want to try a different venue. Thanks to everyone who posted some feedback in that thread:- viewtopic.php?f=14&t=107705
The general view is that we might want to try more than one option, so let's try the Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).
But this is a general car and bike meet they run on the 2nd Sunday each month (which just happens to coincide with what we did at Newlands Corner) so it won't just be Z4s there. Which may not be a bad thing if we don't have too many!
They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that will be fine.
The weather forecast for August was terrible even on the night before so I didn't think it would work, but on the day it turned out dry so my apologies for the "rain check".
So now the holiday season is over I was wondering if anyone might be up for going in September?
While I realise it is the same date as Jembo's "Full English" meet he is Kent based, so the other end of Surrey, and there may be a few "senior" members (like me) that don't even know what WhatsApp is!
If you might be interested, have any feedback or other ideas please say - we're basically looking for a new venue where we can have a regular meet!
