Surrey/Berks/Hants Meet - 8 December

Well it's just a week until the next regular classic car/bike meet at the Black Swan in Ockham that takes place each month which we tag along to, for anyone who fancies an early drive out with their Z4.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).

They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that will be fine.

The last few months several of us have met up at Ockham Bites at the beginning of Old Lane for a coffee, bacon butty, etc. between 08.30 and 09.00 to avoid the potentially long queues at the Black Swan! That way we got to park together which works pretty well. So if anyone fancies doing the same this month I'll aim to be at Ockham Bites at 08.30 - subject to the weather because it is an outdoor venue!

If you want to turn up a bit later then just go straight to the Black Swan.

Just a thought, but we'd stand a better chance of getting parked together if we arrived a bit earlier - would anyone be up meeting between 8 and 8.30 with a view to leaving Ockham Bites at 8.30?

Not sure if coming but earlier start needed, I'd almost be tempted to meet at Black Swan at 8 and see cars arrive. All depends if they've sorted catering out there though!

Quick Friday bump, as it looks like Sunday should be dry!

To answer flimper's question, there was a long queue for catering at the Black Swan last month so I'd expect more of the same.

With that in mind, please can we aim to meet at Ockham Bites at 8am with a view to getting to the Black Swan before 8.30.

If anyone can't get there that early, just go straight to the Black Swan.

Yes, it was another good meet with a select band of Z4s and a wide variety of other gems.

Seeing as we like photos on here I'll start with the German cars (sorry, no Z4s this time).

And just a bit of advanced notice that they are putting on an extra one on Sunday 29 December if anyone is looking for some petrolhead escapism over the Xmas period - buy I'll put a post up nearer the time anyway.

Then there were some Italian gems!

That De Tomaso was one of two that arrived together, but one had left before I got a photo.

And that Fiat 130 Coupe actually had a manual gearbox - ultra-rare.
