Now we are into August it seems like time to think about the next regular classic car/bike meet at the Black Swan in Ockham that takes place each month and that we tag along to, as the next one will be on Sunday 11 August if anyone fancies an early drive out with their Z4.

Full details are The Black Swan, Old Lane, Ockham, Surrey. KT11 1NG. Phone: 01932 862364. (Old Lane is a turning off the slip-road onto the Southbound A3 just after J10 of the M25).

They open at 08.30 for breakfast, bacon rolls, tea and coffee so any time after that will be fine.

The last month couple of months several of us have met up at Ockham Bites at the beginning of Old Lane for a coffee, bacon butty, etc. between 08.30 and 09.00 to avoid the potentially long queues at the Black Swan! That way we got to park together which worked pretty well. So if anyone fancies doing the same this month I'll aim to be at Ockham Bites at 08.30 - subject to the weather as it is an outdoor venue!

If you want to turn up a bit later then just go straight to the Black Swan.

Here is a link to last month to give an idea of the sort of cars turn up - but that didn't include the Ferraris at Ockham Bites as they were off to Brooklands! https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=115922&start=15

I won't be able to make it this month :( But on the plus side, my car will hopefully sound much better by lunch time :D

Well 4 of us met up at Ockham Bites, three E86s and an E89 - where were all the E85 owners this morning? :?

And of course Tony was at the Black Swan with his E89 marshalling the car park as usual.

It was good to talk about Z4 stuff and wander around the car park - where we found another 2 Z4s, including a lovely Interlagos Blue MR on a private plate but didn't manage to catch up with the owners so apologies if they are on here!

Anyway here are the Z photos - I had to include the Z1 as it was the first Z model.

Plus a couple of others that caught my eye!

The paint on the Mustang was just stunning (it didn't sound bad either) and I had to include the Capri because I had a couple of 2.8 Injections back in the 80s - and firebobby seems to have a thing about them!

Although the Capri isn't right! It's definitely not a 280 as they were all run-out models in Brooklands Green with grey full leather seats and were on E-Reg plates - among other discrepancies, but I'll take my anorak off.

Hi Guys, good to meet up today. its a great venue and lots of variety of cars there. My favourite was the Daf 44 Estate :o With added 'patina' to its life as a car.
As for Zeds , we did seem to have a decent number of cars, although the Healey 3000's may have been a similar number too.
Was pretty warm, which with the howling winds at home , I did pack jackets and other shoes in case it was wet and muddy, but wasnt needed.
Catch up soon

Always good to see the well presented Zeds and glad the venue and event are popular.from the event owner and we marshals its glad to know that people are enjoying it . I won't be in attendance in September so hopefully Andrew will be able to cope alone.
