Surprised with falling E89 used values

Back on topic, the E89s are very spec-sensitive in their desirability and therefore value. The top-spec models with iDrive, extended Bluetooth / USB and MSport trim fly off the shelf, I know because I chased a couple of elusive ones before I finally bagged one, but the lower spec models sit around for weeks. I found getting a good spec manual 35i took a while, not sure if the demand for these is higher than DCT equiv but they are rarer, so I'd expect their values to hold out particularly after the new Z is out in 2017/18?

Looking for a 3.5i/Is manual is going to leave a rather small pool for would be buyers to swim in so your experience is not fully reflective of the whole E89 market
All options ticked will always assist a sale but that goes with any model car ,
However way you view all the 89s they offer a lot for a little if compared like for like with their alternatives & a mapped 3.5Is is a machine very little would match for the yr/spec/pricepoint they can be got for ,
