Now fitted... They could do with a slight curve across the plate at the wheel end to sit flush with the underside of the bumper, but they will do the job and look fine. I'll get a pic later.

Where do get these Fang guards Bing, one of mine has been scuffed in the past which I'm getting the front bumper resprayed sometime soon, and would like to fit them to protect in the future thanks Andy

Andy - I got them from PVR with the car, at a cost, of course... So he's best to tell you where he got them. I think it was on here, maybe a group buy or someone fabricated them. RPI do scuff plates specifically for the bumper too.

Thanks Bing now on the look for some cheers Andy

I've got an unused set still to fit, but I bet if I lent them to Machine Monkey he could turn them out at a decent cost. Now who's going to buy him a laser cutter?

I've only got some tin snip cutters might come out a bit rough

feel genuinely pleased for you, and really good to see this car staying with the forum :-)

now bing..... how about strapping a snail to the s54 and waking the dead...

The best thing I ever did for my M bumper was to make and fit fangs, since lowered I've caught them a few times but the bumper remains flawless. I painted them with black underbody paint which we use on trains, so I just touch them up now and again.

Thanks Beedub - I think I might spend some time not killing myself in the stock version for now... And unfortunately that particular £6k is spent on a holiday - part of the hidden costs of my indulgence

the z4m is imo one of the most underrated cars of the decade, evo rate it as 5 star car, with some minor tweaks to the alignment bing you'll have a very different car, enjoy and tweak, incredible little cars and i think they will go up in value.

People like you will be the death of me Beedub - just been looking at engine mounts and thinking 'hmmmmm'

Reading this thread has got me dreaming about getting an M of my own.

I would need to sell my Coupe and see what cash that generates as i don't really have any desire to spend any more cash though. What price do you think I could get for mine?

3.0si Sport, Carbon Black, 2009 registered 58 plate, 36,000 miles FBMWSH, Immaculate inside and out. No zenons or sat nav but does have headted setas, comfort pack.

Parkers says its worth £11,500 private good condition and £12,600 for a dealer and £13,800 for Franchaise dealer. This is with 50,000 miles so I gues min'e worth more with only 36,000.

Looking on piston heads I think I can get more as a simililar car was sold privately for £13,500, or close to as it was advertised at that so must be around £13,000

Can't help with coupe prices, not my area of expertise, though that is nice low mileage... But £13k-14k could get you in a decent MR, a couple more £k will definitely get you in a decent one or possibly even an MC.

Cheers, I haven't looked at values for a while but was pleasantly surprised looking on autotrader seems like they have almost held price from about a year ago. M's seem to be holding price or even going up which is good news. It seems the price drops of a couple of years ago when everyone was looking formore economical cars have reversed.

Bing- Congratulations on the new purchase - it looks like a real peach! Also, so good to know it's origins.
If there is one car I would trade mine for - it's one like that - someday....
