Surprise !

Congrats on your new car Bing.

You sure did keep this a secret.

PVR I hope you love your new motor just as much when it finally arrives.

 :driving:

Congratulations Bing, it certainly looks the business! Surely the epitome of the class and in the best colour possible! (but then I am a little biased!)

It's more torquey all the time Rory. Less train-like than my auto as you can obviously feel the changes - but definitely pulls harder and faster. 1st gear just disappears almost instantly unless you're really going slow.

Nice :D Does it sound much different?

Pardon ?

(Sorry, eardrums still adapting to indoors sound levels :D )

The bikes have been there for years. They're very securely tied to the wall, and have probably chemically bonded with the cabinet they're on top of. It's all good. Just been out for an evening time top down mini-hoon - O.M.G.

Why are there pictures of PVR's car on what I can only presume is Bing's driveway? Have I missed something :poke:

Glad you like you're new motor! The two sales threads have provided me with much entertainment over the last few weeks

Looks great. What does wee bing think of the new ride

His grin was the match of mine, especially when I turned the car round in a junction, booted it and did a wee wiggle up the road (note - no other traffic on said road, on either side of the white lines...). We had a father/son grin fest 8)

Xenons made a lot of difference I assume?

Yes - though I think being able to see more makes it scarier.

Bing how's the change from Auto to Manual?

It's ok, easier than I thought it would be changing back though I've not done a commute yet. Though that 1st/2nd change has me baffled occasionally, and I have had one or two kangaroo moments in 1st. I just need some practice to get it smooth. The change doesn't feel like anything to do with the clutch (so CDV will not alter anything), it must seems to be a characteristic of the box. The worst thing about it is that my driving position needs to be different to the auto, so I am back to tweaking the seat settings every 10mins to find the perfect position.

Left leg isn't sore, but it definitely feels exercised.

Oh, and I tried the Sport button. In the wet. As you do. Pure silliness - switched it off again after about 50 yards of traction control disco on the dash. I'll have a play in the dry, but with so little experience of the power it was like sticking a red hot poker up the ass of a cheetah at full tilt :o

Well, the Light-Dark side at least, given it's still a roadster :D cheers Tom

In all seriousness, for me, 2 of the best threads ever for banter - and the number of times my thread was bumped by everyone else was just brilliant, thanks guys and gals. My previous car felt partly owned my the forum because of all the bits from other people ; this one is special because I guess it's one of the original 'forum cars' with the history it has on here with pvr

I'll try not to crash it :P

And J -

Congrats on picking up a PVR's pristine M\\\ Roadster Bing. Spotted a couple of post a few weeks back that gave the game away. :P

Enjoy the :driving:

My for sale thread has 6 fewer posts on the 19 pages than Bing's, I feel discriminated against :D
