Evening all :) After a few whirlwind days and the pleasure of meeting [ref]Simon 3.2M[/ref], I am now the proud owner of my first BMW M car, and it's Simon's old Silver Grey 2006 Roadster.

I won't ramble on too much but I brought the car home today and for now, it's tucked up alongside my 3.0i E85, which will be sold in due course. I'm now looking forward to the weekend when I can get to grips with all the new sounds and smells and wash 150 miles of traffic film off it.

Simon - thanks again for your help and hospitality, and for the impromptu spit and polish you gave the car this morning! The car will be enjoyed around the roads of the Southwest and Wales when the sun comes out to play :driving:

Lovely photos OP.

Welcome to M ownership, from one of the more recent joiners of the M club. I hope you enjoy many happy miles with yours!

Pleasure to meet up with you too mate and thank you for an easy, hassle free sale. As has been said, welcome to the M club and enjoy a car that has been truly pampered. I look forward to seeing her at a few of the meets throughout the summer 😊

Looks like a lovely car for a really good price considering all that's been done to it. Enjoy! :driving:

I chuckled at the pointless attempt to hide the reg number; it's all over the sale thread haha

Ahh, welcome to you too then, Mr Tidy  Same goes to you. Spring and summer are lurking just around the corner for us now...

Nice one James, you put the TTS to bed then :D
I've had a couple of very silly car ideas over the last 6 months, including having a TTRS as my only car, but have settled on keeping two cars - one of which is the lovely animal in this thread. Throwing all my money away in the form of the fuel and depreciation that come with over 20,000 miles per year, in a 400 bhp 25 MPG TT would have been senseless!

Haha I see how that may look - I took these images from my public Instagram account though :)

Welcome to the fold WD.

A strange question, but are you original from Liverpool by any chance, as we used to have a guy in our snooker club called Wonky Donkey...and I'm wondering if it's you (easily verifiable by the reason for his nickname).

...oh, and sod waiting for spring/summer...if it's cold & dry take the damn thing out for a hoon - you'll learn more about it's handling on the limit (admittedly heaving reduced limits) in these conditions than you will on a warm summer's day. :poke:

Nicely done! If you save over the next year you’ll be able to upgrade to the M coupe for an even better life experience

Thanks. It was highly refreshing to view a car that had been presented well and lived up to its advert :)

I'm doing my best not to be offended, but no, I'm not a scouser  Nor do I play snooker. Maybe I have an imposter?? My 3.0i E85 has had plenty of crisp sunny winter days out and about, so the M will serve that same purpose, fear not :)

Why I oughta...! :x I've got a house for when I want a roof over my head :P

Nice one pal... and definitely a sensible choice on the two car plan 👌 I’ve opted for completely opposite kind of cars now I’ve got the MR, with an F10 520d so I get to drive around in a sofa during the week 🤣

That is a very similar set up to when I had my MR and I had a E61 520d as my daily! :D
