Surfing

I am retired. Everyday is Saturday. I can pretty much do anything any day of the week. But even considering that, I am amazed that some of you guys must spend more hours surfing the Internet than I have time to do. I have been on this forum for a little less than one year and have been active, and have done over 650 posts, but I am a lightweight compared to many. :o

How do you do it? Where and when do you get to the Internet? At work, after work, in your sleep? I appreciate your efforts as I have enjoyed many things I would have never found on my own, but still considering that many of you still work for a living, I can’t understand how you can spend that much time surfing and still have a life. Enlighten me!!!!!

Before the internet it was filled with wanton thoughts of the babe in another cubicle and long lunches. Now, it is this place.

I don't spend a lot of time on here, mostly in evenings for perhaps an hour, and then I can access at work too so if I can stir up the action I add my .02. It is fun way to stay in touch, after none of us takes ourselves too seriously! I wear a mickey mouse watch to remind me of that! Keep smiling and posting too!

I don't really come on during the day much, but at night I still quite often have a bit of work to do, and I usually have multiple windows with email, excel, acrobat and Z4-forum open, and I post here while watching the TV at the same time.

The only downside to this is that I have found that I need to watch a film at least 5 times before I understand it

I have the forum window open most of the day while I am at work.
and at home I have a laptop that follows me around the house a lot.

Plus you are becoming dangerously close to 4000 posts....hmmmm. :)

Work from home and running a couple of pc's at once, so there's invariably a window to the forum open somewhere on the desk.

When clients outsource work to India, I spend a lot of time on (phone) meetings repeating the same over and over again. During the boring bits (i.e. 95%), I can spend some time here to have a look and offer my invaluable advice. :D

oh dear i am very sad
have it on at work and at home my wife likes her soaps so it back on here for me and this is the sad part
i have 2 computers on all the time one on the forum or surfing (porn) and one for on line gaming 8)

Watch some Schwarzenegger movies, there is nothing to understand to them.

My father used to say that the worst thing about retirement is that you had no more sick days and vacation days from work to relax. :o

See, my last three posts could have been condensed into one. I think that's how you get to many thousands of posts.

At home while the other half is watching mind numbing TV - I'm on here...

At work while my PC is compiling my source code - I'm on her...

Same here, the Mac is for everything and the PC is for gaming (only because I'm not corrupting my Mac with Windows....that's just dirty, mean and unethical). Sometimes the PC does movie duty too if a dvd I get won't play on the PS3 or DVD player (VLC FTW). The PC has a kickass sound system so /shrug.

Anyways, post alot as often as you can, one post per thread and you'll pass 2k in no time!

I'm on here way more than I should be. One could call it a mild form of addiction. I work in the internet business so I'm on my laptop and online all day, I dip in and out almost daily to see what's cooking in the world of Z4's

Whats really annoying on this forum, is you log in, troll & post your way through all the topics then go away for 30 minutes and there is only 5 new posts!
I mean how do you really become a post whore with only 5 new posts?! I'll tell ya!
Start replying to your own posts, then blame it on split personalities.
